How we leave your house
The job is not finished when the water runs.
Plumbing happens in the parts of a house people live in. Kitchens, bathrooms, hallways and the route between them. What a job leaves behind is a large part of what people remember about it.
What goes down before we start
Floor covering, and a path from the door to the work. Anything that has to come out of a cabinet comes out before the tools go in, not after. If a job needs a room emptied we will tell you that when we book it, not when we arrive.
What gets patched, and what does not
Opening a wall or a floor is often unavoidable. Putting it back is a real piece of work with its own trades in it, and pretending otherwise is how people end up with a hole and an argument.
We close the wall or floor back up and leave the place clean. We do not paint or tile it back to match, and we will tell you that before we start.
You will have what we put back, and what we do not, in writing before the work starts.
What leaves with us
The old parts, the packaging and the debris. A dumpster if the job needs one. The old water heater does not sit in the driveway for a week.
What happens if something gets damaged
Things do get damaged. A tile lifts, a cabinet gets marked, something turns out to have been holding together on friction alone.
If we damage something while we are working, we put it right. You do not argue with us about it and you do not pay for it.
We would rather write this down and be held to it than tell you we are tidy.
